GENCO Holding Company Limited (GHCL), a prominent public sector entity managing state-owned thermal power generation companies in Pakistan, is inviting applications for the prestigious role of Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The CEO will be based at the GHCL Head Office in Islamabad and will lead the transformation and strategic overhaul of Ex-WAPDA generation companies.
Position Overview:
The CEO will:

Oversee inefficient and loss-making power plant disposal in line with legal frameworks.

Ensure governance compliance, strategic HR realignment, and stakeholder engagement.

Lead GENCOs transformation in accordance with Power Division and SECP guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement a comprehensive roadmap for GENCO asset privatization.
-
Liaise with Power Division, NEPRA, and other authorities for smooth coordination.
-
Ensure continuity in plant operations until privatization.
-
Develop HR strategies for transitioning employees.
-
Manage financial, operational, and legal risks effectively.
-
Act as a liaison among regulators, auditors, and investors.
Eligibility Criteria:
Education (any one of the following):
-
Bachelor’s in Engineering (Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical/Mechatronics) with PEC registration.

Fellow Member of ICAP/ICMAP or similar recognized body.
-
MBA from a reputed institution.
Experience:
-
Minimum 10 years in senior management with strong credentials in governance or business operations.

Proven leadership as CEO or Head of Department in commercial or public organizations.
-
Strategic foresight, regulatory understanding, communication, and negotiation skills.

Experience in asset liquidation or public sector transformation is preferred.
Conditions of Employment:

3-year contract (extendable based on performance).
